Ford has confirmed that the company is set to take on the 2012 SEMA Show which will be held in Las Vegas on October 30 with a bang. This is because the US car maker will be taking about 70 vehicles as hundreds of performance parts and accessories to Las Vegas as part of the company’s bid to take the show’s center stage.
Based on the information obtained from reliable sources, Ford will be displaying its vehicles as well as those that are produced by the company’s brands at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The display which is considered as one of the company’s largest will actually cover about 25,500 square feet of the Convention Center’s Central Hall. The items that would be placed on display are made up of the classic and hottest roadsters produced by Ford since the 1930s as well as the latest products that are found on the car maker’s showrooms.
But aside from the long list of vehicles and accessories, Ford has also revealed that the company’s display will also feature other highlights such as the “Ford Dream Garage,” EcoBoost Gallery,” and the “Hot Rod Heaven.”
The EcoBoost Gallery is a specific area wherein the company’s high-tech EcoBoost engines are displayed. These EcoBoost engine is regarded as one of the most significant technologies that Ford has developed. This technology combines turbocharging and direct-injection mechanisms that allow the engines used on Ford vehicles to deliver more power without the need to consume more fuel.
The Ford Dream Garage covers nearly 750 square feet of the Central Hall. This area features a dream garage that could accommodate two cars. The garage was developed to showcase Ford’s commitment to help enthusiasts to visualize and obtain significant ideas that would assist them in building their own garages at home.
The Hot Rod Heaven on the other hand is an area on the company’s both which is dedicated to some of the popular hot rod models that Ford has produced. This includes the three fabulous vehicles from the world renowned So-Cal Speed Shop, a 1931 Roadster pickup, and the classic 1940 coupe.
Given all of these highlights, Ford expects that their display for this year’s SEMA Show will most likely outshine those that were made by the other car makers and at the same time convince more buyers to buy their existing and upcoming products.
