Kia to Unveil the New Version of the Soul Next Year

Kia has recently hinted that they would most likely unveil the new version of the Kia Soul next year. However, the Korean car maker has refused to provide further details about this particular plan. The information that company’s representatives have provided has only confirmed that the next generation Soul will most likely be revealed soon. In fact, they were not also able to share some of the vehicle’s characteristics and features, thereby leaving the buying public with no option but to wait for further announcements from Kia.

Fortunately, a number of automotive journalists were able to take some photos depicting the images of a vehicle which is subjected to a number of tests by Kia’s personnel. Upon taking a closer look at the photos, many car experts were convinced that the vehicle on the pictures looks like the Soul.

Due to this, most of them currently believe that Kia has already finished the development of the next-generation Soul and the images obtained by some journalists simply proves that the vehicle is already subjected to test drives and other similar simulations to make sure that the upcoming model will certainly provide an impressive running performance when released on the market.

Aside from that, most of these experts believe that the new version of the Kia Soul will be introduced into the market as a 2014 model. There is also a great possibility that the next generation Soul will most likely ride on the platform used by the updated Kia Rio. In addition to this, the vehicle might also be using the 2.0 and 1.6-liter 4 cylinder engines that were used by the 2012 Kia Soul since last year.

A lot of car experts and even some of the buyers in the US were very eager to determine the developments of the upcoming version of the Soul since this hatchback is considered as the second-bestselling model next to the Kia Optima. Kia’s dealerships in the US were able to sell more than 63,000 units of the Soul in the first six months of 2012.

Although the next generation Kia Soul is not yet released into the market, it will surely encounter a lot of pressure since the upcoming version is expected to surpass the sales output that its predecessor has established. This might have been one of the main reasons why Kia is holding some of the information about the Soul.
