Lexus continues to lose the upscale cars’ sales

Lexus has occupied the top spot in the production and sales of luxury cars in the US for quite a long time. Lexus has been competing with its closest rivals which were the German auto makers BMW and Mercedes Benz and continuously been beating them in the past few years most especially when it comes to the total number of units sold each year. However, Lexus has lost this lead as well as the glory it has been enjoying. The company currently suffers from bigger loses in market share and the number of units sold.


One of the most significant reasons for the decline of Lexus current and forecasted sales was the Tohoku earthquake which struck Japan last March.
