Car Care 2013 Tip 23: Polish Smart

Keeping your car well-polished does not only make this look stunning in the eyes but also helps in preserving the vehicle’s resale value. However, the task of keeping the car well-polished might not be an easy job for some most especially to those who are not aware of the proper steps involved. Fortunately, anyone could easily conduct an online research on how this is done.

In case you currently own a vehicle and doesn’t know how to keep this neatly polished without the need to go to the nearest car service center and spend a certain amount of cash, try to polish the car by yourself using the following steps.

Step 1: Wash your car

Before polishing the car, make sure to wash this first. Since you will be doing the wash, park the vehicle in an area where you can move freely and somewhere close to the water source. Try to remove all the dirt and other foreign substances that are found on the vehicle’s exterior surface. As soon as the washing is done, rinse the car but make sure that this remains wet.

Aside from that, make sure to use softer pads and mild polishing compounds when your car has a darker color. This is because using stronger compounds and relatively rougher cloth would surely make the car’s hue lighter and eventually lose its glossy layer.
