Acura has recently announced the starting price of its 2013 Acura ILX, an all-new model for the brand’s line-up for this year which is slotted below the Acura TSX and rides on the platform that was also used in the Honda Civic. The announcement stated that the 2013 Acura ILX will be sold at a starting price of $26,795 which also includes the destination charge of $895. This starting price will be applicable for the base ILX when it goes on sale in the month of May of this year.
By paying an amount of $26,795, a buyer is given a chance to gain ownership of an entry-level version of the ILX 2.0L which is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces up to 150 horsepower which is connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The 2013 Acura ILX 2.0L is also equipped with standard features such as the proximity key, a power moonroof, alloy wheels, and Bluetooth. This ILX is also equipped with Pandora as well as the audio system that features text message functionality and cloth seats.
In order to improve the features of this model, a buyer could also pay an additional $3,300. This payment will allow the vehicle to obtain the optional Premium package offered for the ILX 2.0L. This package adds some features such as the power adjustments for the driver’s seat, leather heated seats, fog lamps, rearview camera, and 17-inch alloy wheels on the vehicle. A 360-watt stereo with the active noise cancellation and SiriusXM is also added into the vehicle as part of the Premium package.
The Premium package-equipped ILX 2.0L might further be upgraded by getting the $2,200 Technology Package. This adds the Homelink, navigation system, and ELS Surround sound system into the features that were previously included on the Premium package. By getting the Premium and the Technology package, the price of the vehicle would surely increase from $26,795 to $32,295.
Aside from the 2.0L model, Acura has also announced the pricing details of the two other trims of the 2013 Acura ILX. The ILX 2.4L model which is powered by a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to a standard 6-speed manual transmission has a starting price of $30,095. Based on this figure, it is quite obvious that the 2.4L model has almost the same price as the ILX 2.0L Premium.
Finally, the third trim of the 2013 Acura ILX which is the ILX 1.5L Hybrid is sold at a starting price of $29,975. Just like the other trims, the starting price of the ILX 1.5L Hybrid could further increase to $35,295 as soon as the Premium and Technology package is added on the vehicle.
