VW Prices the 2013 Beetle Fender Edition

Volkswagen has recently released the pricing information of the unique version of the 2013 Volkswagen Beetle which is dubbed as the “Fender Edition.”

Based on the pricing information provided by Volkswagen, the 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition will be sold at a starting price of $25,235 including the destination price of $795. Given this figure, it is quite obvious that the starting price of the Fender Edition is $5,255 higher than that of the base version and 5-speed automatic transmission-equipped 2013 Volkswagen Beetle 2.5L with a starting price of $20,590 including the same shipping charge.

Although both the base Fender Edition and the base version of the Beetle are powered by the same 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission which is capable of producing a maximum power output of up to 170 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque, the former is sold at a relatively higher price since this is equipped with premium audio system from Fender, a dashboard that flaunts a sunburst styling, LED daytime running lights, and bi-xenon headlights.

Aside from the first version mentioned earlier, Volkswagen has confirmed that the base Fender Edition of the Beetle can also be had with the same 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. This version will be sold at a starting price of $26,335 including the shipping fee of $795.

Finally, Volkswagen is also offering another version of the Beetle Fender Edition and this is Beetle Fender Edition Turbo. By looking at its name, it is quite correct to assume that this is powered by the same 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission.

With an engine which is capable of producing up to 200 horsepower and 207 lb.-ft. of torque and premium audio system from Fender, the 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition Turbo is sold at a starting price of $29,995. The price of the Fender Edition Turbo which is equipped with the 6-speed automatic transmission on the other hand starts at $28,925.

Aside from the features mentioned earlier, the Fender Editions of the Beetle will also be sold with mirrors made of brushed chrome, Deep Black Pearl Metallic paint, 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, and Fender badging. The Fender Edition Turbo is also offered with sport seats.
